The members of the cooperative bring their olives, they are weighed and a small sample is taken to see the yield. After that, the olives are unloaded into containers and they are brought to the second grade cooperative CEOLPE, of which we are members, in order to elaborate the extra virgin olive oil. It is commercialized in our Agroshop from the D.O.Siurana (Origin denomination).
Nowadays, in Calafell’s Agricultural, 190.000kg of arbequines (a kind of olives) olives are harvested and also 2.000 kg of Menyes olives.
The members of our association bring the carobs into the cooperative, they are weighed and a small sample is taken to observe the carob’s dampness. Afterwards, the fruit is unloaded in containers and brought to the cooperative for their commercialization.
The members of the cooperative bring their grapes, they are weighed and the grade is measured. Then, the fruit is unloaded in containers and brought to “Cellers Domenys” to do its elaboration and commercialization.
(In 2009, an agreement was signed with Cellers Domenys in order to elaborate and commercialise together this product.)
Nowadays, in Calafell’s agricultural, 500.000kg of white grape, varieties of Macabeu, Xarel·lo and Parellada, are harvested. 15.000kg of black grapes are harvested, varieties of Merlot and Ull de llebre.
